We are thrilled to be able to open our home back up to guests looking for overnight, or short-term lodging while in the White Mountains.
We here at the Jefferson Inn take the health and safety of our guests and employee’s very seriously. We are following the policy recommendations put forth by the Governor’s Economic Re-Opening Task Force and their protocols for safeguarding all New Hampshire businesses during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. This industry-specific guidance is based on what is currently known about COVID-19 and is intended to protect the public’s health and allow New Hampshire to remain open for business. The intent of these recommendations is to reduce transmission of COVID-19 among employees and customers; support healthy business operations; and maintain a healthy work environment.
In addition to strict adherence to U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidance, and US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ., the State of New Hampshire recommends policies and procedures to protect consumers and employees. Included below are the guidelines that apply specifically to our guests:
Guests are required to bring and wear a cloth face covering when entering and exiting our Inn. Masks are to be worn by all guests while in any common areas inside the Inn. Cloth face coverings are not necessary while a guest is seated and dining outdoors.
To maintain a safe distance of at least 6 feet between employees and customers, we are asking guests not to enter the reception area if there are other guests in this area. We ask that you remain in your car, or enjoy the yard, until the reception area is again clear. When checking out, guests are welcome to leave their key on the reception desk – there is no check out paperwork required.
Employees shall wear cloth or mask face coverings over their nose and mouth while in all public common areas of the Inn, except when outside and able to maintain 6 feet distance. We ask that if you need assistance, please call the main Inn phone number 603-586-7998, this gives our employees the opportunity to put their mask on before entering the common areas of the Inn.
Indoor dining is not currently permitted. We have limited seating on our front porch which will be available in a first come, first served capacity. Breakfast can be served on the porch, in your room, or available as “grab & go”. Breakfast times must be staggered and strictly adhered to, please reserve your spot while checking in.
Guest arrivals should be staggered to prevent congregating in waiting areas. Only 1 guest per party will be allowed into the reception area during check-in.
Inside common areas are closed, and no congregating in lobby; this includes the breakfast room, tv room, and the sitting room with the fish tank.
Alcohol-based hand-sanitizer is readily available at the reception desk for both customers and employees.
All employees have been educated on the importance of frequent hand washing and the use of hand sanitizers with at least 60% alcohol content.
In addition to those changes in policies, all guests will be asked to complete and sign the following worksheet:

Wear a mask during check-in, and while in all common areas inside the Inn
Only 1 guest per room may enter the Inn during the check-in process – if there is someone already in reception upon your arrival, we ask that you please remain outside or in your vehicle until the previous guest has completed the check-in process
Please answer the following questions:
Have you, or anyone in your party, been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
Are you, or anyone in your party, experiencing a cough, shortness of breath or sore throat?
c. Have you, or anyone in your party, had a fever in the last 48 hours?
d. Have you, or anyone in your party, had changes in your sense of taste or smell?
e. If you answered yes to any of these questions, please do not put our employees and other guests at risk and come back another day when you feel better. Any deposit will be returned.
f. A version of this checklist will be placed with our record of your stay.
By signing below, I hereby attest to the following:
All person(s) included in my reservation # are staying here at the Jefferson Inn. Each of us have remained at a home for at least 14 days before arriving in Jefferson, New Hampshire, only going out for essential items and when outside of the home maintained social distance and wore face masks when within less than 6 feet of another person during this 14 day “quarantine”.
